How to create a shortcut:
1. Open your database in VSE My Privacy.
2. Select "Create shortcut in the Apple Menu" in the "Edit" menu of VSE My Privacy.

What is encryption?
Encryption is the transformation of data into an unreadable form. It ensures privacy by keeping your confidential information hidden, except to those who have the correct password. Encryption uses a mathematical formula to scramble or encrypt information stored in your encrypted file.

I heard of US export restrictions on cryptography. Do they apply to me when I download VSE My Privacy?
No. VSE My Privacy was developed in Germany by a German company. There are no restrictions on cryptography in Germany, where the headquarters of our company are. The German government does not require that software developers make any kind of back doors or use key recovery escrow. That allows us to use an absolute bullet-proof encryption algorithm. We value privacy as much as you do. That's why we wrote VSE My Privacy.
What about multiple users?
VSE My Privacy stores information file-based, so you can have multiple files for multiple users. With VSE My Privacy, each member of a family can have his or her own password-protected file.

If you select this option, VSE My Privacy will quit when you close your database window.
Save automatically when quitting
If you select this option, VSE My Privacy will save your changes automatically when you quit the application.

Ask before removing an item
When you click the "Remove" button in the main window or when you select the "Remove" item in the "File" menu, VSE My Privacy will show a warning dialog before deleting your entry.
Lock document after X seconds of inactivity
If you select that option, VSE My Privacy will automatically lock your window after a certain time of inactivity. That means that the content of your database will be hidden and that you have to enter your password to re-access your database. That feature is useful when you have to leave the room and forget to quit VSE My Privacy.
You can also lock your databse by pressing the "Lock Window" button in the main window. When you feel that someone is looking over your shoulder, press that button and the content of your database will be hidden.

This option allows you to select a font and a font size for your database entries.

- Create New Window: VSE My Privacy will open a new database when you launch the application.

VSE grants you a non-exclusive license for the use of the Software as follows. You may either:

If the Software is to be used by more than one user under option (a) above or on more than one computer under option (b) above, you must purchase a number of copies (or multi-user package representing multiple copies [site license]) equal to the number of users under option (a) or the number of Computers under option (b). Copy Restrictions
Ownership of the legal rights contained in the Software remains solely with VSE. These may include trade secret, trademark, copyright, patent, international treaty and other rights as applicable.
